L’Hospitalet de Llobregat has a wide range of local shops. They are one of the economic engines rooted in the territory, which promote social cohesion and coexistence.
They are located around the seven commercial axes, spaces where there is a greater concentration of shops to buy, walk around and buy something to eat.
The city has eight municipal markets distributed in the six districts of L’Hospitalet. The commercial offer includes quality fresh produce, along with outdoor stalls for clothes and accessories.

This is the oldest municipal market in Bellvitge, and has maintained all the friendliness of a neighbourhood market. The best day to visit is Friday, which is when it is at its liveliest. On Friday mornings, it coincides with the Bellvitge street market: a festival of popular flavour and colour that takes place around the municipal market and offers different products.

It was built in 1932 and has maintained the typical old market structure, with the fishmonger stalls in the middle in a perfect circular formation, one next to the other.
